THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), set for kick-off here on December 8, will be friendlier towards the disabled this year, promise the organisers.
They will not have to spend time in queues. Special parking arrangements will also be in place as part of making the annual cinematic extravaganza disabled-friendly, organisers of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy said. All the theatres will have ramps for easy access.

Filmgoers above the age of 70 also can bypass queues at the theatres, the academy said. This year, the festival will be hosted at 15 theatres having a total of 8,048 seats in all. The academy has issued 10,000 passes this year in various categories.
