THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the state witnessing a spike in type 1 diabetes among children, SAT Hospital along with the Child Development Centre (CDC) conducted an awareness workshop at CDC Auditorium on Saturday.
Around 200 children and their parents attended the workshop that briefed about the basics of insulin therapy, new methods in it, dietary plan to be followed and others aspects through lecture sessions and puppet shows.
SAT Hospital Pediatric Neurology wing head Dr P A Muhammad Kunju and RMO Dr P G Hariprasad were present.
