KSRTC to operate special services to Attukal temple

To clear the rush of devotees for the Attukal pongala, the KSRTC will operate special services to Attukal Bhagawathy temple from February 12 to 21.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: To clear the rush of devotees for the Attukal pongala, the KSRTC will operate special services to Attukal Bhagawathy temple from February 12 to 21. Unit officers in the city, Pappanamcode, Vikas Bhavan, Vellanad and Peroorkada depots have been authorised to operate these services.

Besides, the unit officers at Kollam, Kottarakkara, Punalur and Pathanamthitta units have been asked to provide additional services from the afternoon of February 19 to 21. On the pongala day, which falls on February 20, buses to Poovar and Vizhinjam will begin service from Kamaleswaram, those to Pettah, Kannamoola and Kesavadasapuram will start from the Fort High School area and buses to Thirumala, Jagathy, Pangode and Neyyattinkara will start from Killipalam-Karamana-Pappanamcode.

Services to the Vattiyoorkavu and Peroorkada sectors will commence from East Fort while those to Kilimanoor, Attingal, Nedumangad, Neyyatinkara and Kattakada will operate from the Central bus station. Special buses will be operated from Maruthurkadavu to Pappanamcode sector.The same buses will be operated as additional services on February 20 if needed. Unit officers have been directed to provide additional buses.
