VIJAYAWADA: A 24-year-old woman was allegedly molested by a film director and actor on the way from Hyderabad to Bhimavaram on Tuesday. According to police sources, the victim was offered a role in an as yet untitled film by director Chalapathi and actor Srujan.
The duo persuaded her to accompany them in a car from Hyderabad to Bhimavaram, claiming that the film shooting was scheduled in Bhimavaram. In her complaint lodged with the Penamaluru police, she alleged that the duo molested her on the way. The sources said she had resisted their advances and in the ensuing scuffle, the car met with an accident at Nidamanuru. She managed to free herself from their clutches. The police have registered a case.
