VIJAYAWADA: The Penamaluru police on Friday arrested two accused in connection with the molestation case of a film actress. On August 15, the 24-year-old woman was allegedly molested by film director Chalapathi and hero Srujan on their way from Hyderabad to Bhimavaram for a film shoot.

According to the victim, the duo persuaded her to accompany them in a car from Hyderabad to Bhimavaram, claiming that the film shooting was scheduled in Bhimavaram. Sources said she had resisted their advances and in the ensuing scuffle, the car met with an accident at Nidamanuru. She managed to free herself from their clutches.

The duo have been booked under Section 354 A and 337 of the IPC.
