VIJAYAWADA: Google Nest has expressed its willingness to provide security appliances to the Andhra Pradesh government. During a meeting with Google Nest CEO Marwan Fawaz in San Francisco on Saturday, IT Minister Nara Lokesh explained him about usage of technology for extending better services to people.
Lokesh said that the State government is going to use sensors in a big way to supply purified drinking water. He also said they are also contemplating to make use of face recognition cameras apart from the CCTV cameras for enhancing security at crucial places and sought cooperation from Google Nest in this regard.Marwan Fawaz said they are ready to work with AP and to design suitable products as per the demand of AP government.Interacting with NRIs in California, Lokesh urged them to act as brand ambassadors of AP in the US.
