VIJAYAWADA: Jaguar Land Rover India has opened its 26th branch in Vijayawada on Thursday. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated Lakshmi, the authorised retailer of Jaguar Land Rover at Mangalagiri mandal, Guntur here on Thursday.Accompanied by president and managing director (MD) of Jaguar Land Rover India Limited (JLRIL), the Chief Minister unveiled two cars- Jaguar F Pace and Land Rover All New Discovery. Jaguar F Pace (starting price `60.02 lakh) is made locally in India. Land Rover comes in two variants-petrol and diesel. The petrol variant of Land Rover All New Discovery was unveiled at the showroom (starting price `71.38 lakh).
Lakshmi is one of the biggest car showrooms in Vijayawada with state-of-the-art-facility (sales, service and spare parts). The showroom can display 10 cars and the entire range of Jaguar and Land Rover models will be on display and up for sale. MD JLRIL Rohit Suri said, “We are delighted to introduce our products in Vijayawada and are committed to easing accessibilty for our customers to Jaguar and Land Rover products. The opening of this ultra-modern, integrated one-stop facility offering our esteemed customers sales, services and spare parts from the same location is in line with that objective.”
He further added, “We are the first company to take the initiative to set up a showroom here. We wanted to be the first ones to put our flag here. The future capital city Amaravati will be coming here. We want to be the first ones to be a part of its (Amaravati’s) progress, Rajya Sabha MP Kambhampati Ram Mohan, his son and also director of the showroom Jairam Kambhampati and others were also present on the occasion.
