VIJAYAWADA: In a bid to promote kabaddi, AME Sports Network Limited has come forward to conduct Andhra Premier Kabaddi League matches in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam from January 27 to February 13 next year.
A poster and the logo of the Kabaddi League were launched by Minister for Sports Kollu Ravindra along with AME Sports Network Limited managing director Hima Bindu Reddy at a programme held in the city on Sunday.
He lauded the initiative of AME Sports Network Limited to conduct kabbadi matches and said winners would get the chance to play matches at the national level.
Addressing a press conference, Hima Bindu Reddy said the tournament would be organised at an estimated cost of `1 crore. Eight teams selected by the Andhra Kabaddi Association will participate in the tournament which will last for 16 days and have 32 matches.
