VIJAYAWADA: A free ayurveda medical camp to treat knee pains will be held at Achanta Lakshmipathi Government Ayurvedic Hospital on October 17 to mark the 2nd National Ayurveda Day, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Dhanwantari.

In a press release issued here on Sunday, Superintendent of the hospital Dr. D Padmanabha Reddy said that patients who attend the medical camp would be given medicines free of cost to cure knee pains.
“People, irrespective of their age, suffer from knee and back pains due to sedentary lifestyle and lack of physical exercise. Keeping this in view, the Ministry of Ayush has directed ayurvedic hospitals to conduct awareness camps and provide medicines free of cost to the public,” he said.

At the camp, several eminent Ayurvedic doctors will offer free consultation and free diagnostic tests. The camp will be held from 9 am to 2 pm at the hospital on Mahatma Gandhi Road, he added.
