Sawang, Joint Police Commissioner B V Ramana Kumar, DCP Kranthi Rana Tata and other traffic cops inspected the works and asked officials how much more time will the stretch between Kummaripalem and K L Rao Head Water works take to complete. Officials of the construction company SOMA told Sawang that it will took more than 60 days to complete the erection of wings in the 300 metre stretch and even informed the commissioner that allowing vehicles before the completion of the work is nothing but inviting danger.

Sawang said that many people residing in Kummaripalem, Bhavanipuram and Gollapudi expressed the hardships they face in reaching their destinations due to the flyover works. Also, the traffic in One-town has increased gradually with all vehicles diverted through K R Market. “Traffic police examined a few alternate routes to allow vehicles reach Bhavanipuram through Kanaka Durga temple. We will take as many measures as possible to resolve peoples’ difficulties,” Sawang said. He also said approvals from other departments are pending for allowing the vehicles towards Kummaripalem from Kanka Durga temple.
