VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, known as tech-savvy, has highlighted on how technology can help in the overall development.Addressing IAS officers at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy in Mussoorie of Uttarakhand on Monday, Naidu presented Andhra Pradesh’s case study and spoke about technology reforms being implemented in the State. He said that through fibre grid, the government set a target to reach the last mile by connecting every home in the State.

“AP is leading with steady growth rate. In the first quarter, AP has achieved 11.72% growth rate while the country’s average growth is 5.6%. We have selected 10 sectors as growth engines which are contributing to the maximum growth of the State,’’ he said. Highlighting the importance of environment, he said the State is aiming to achieve 50% green cover by 2029. “We are developing a smart water grid by conserving water and inter-linking of rivers. Andhra Pradesh has achieved 100% electrification and given 24x7 power supply to every household. Now, we are going for smart power grid with the help of technology,” Naidu added.

Stating that the nation has a stable government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister suggested the IAS officers to make wonders by making learning a continuous habit.
Describing the IAS officers as the future leaders in building India as a developed country, he said India has three advantages –  demographic dividend, largest English-speaking population and Information technology (IT) — to achieve more development. “One out of four IT professionals in the world is Indian and out of every four Indian IT professionals, one is from AP.’’
