25,000 aspirants to test their luck at JEE Mains today in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh

About 25,000 students from Krishna district would be sitting for the Joint Entrance Examination Mains, 2018 scheduled for Sunday.

VIJAYAWADA: About 25,000 students from Krishna district would be sitting for the Joint Entrance Examination Mains, 2018 scheduled for Sunday. The offline examination would be conducted at 45 centres in Vijayawada, while the online exam would be conducted on April 15 and 16.

The aspirants are issued guidelines that banned them from wearing shoes and long sleeves to the exam hall. All electronic gadgets are also not allowed to the exam centre. The students need to carry an ID proof along with their admit cards and candidates are not required to bring along any pen with them as they will be asked to write the exam with pens provided at the centre.

Apart from Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guntur and Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh are other centres where the exam would be conducted.

Apart from the offline examination, over 17,000 have opted to appear for JEE Mains in online mode. The paper- I of JEE Mains exam will be from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, while Paper II from 2 PM to 5 PM. 24,900 candidates will be taking Paper I offline mode for admission to BE/BTech courses in reputed engineering colleges across the country. 7,440 aspirants will be appearing for Paper II, which is for the admission to B-Arch courses.

The questions will be objective in nature with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, along with negative marking.  All the questions will be objective type with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along and with provisions for negative marking.
