VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will release the ‘socio-economic master plan’ of Amaravati during  the three-day Happy Cities Summit to begin on Tuesday. The master plan will contain reports of socio-economic conditions of the capital city and the State government’s plan to improve the standard of living in the coming years. He will also introduce the farmers, who have given their lands for capital construction, to the global delegates to explain the ‘sacrifices’ they made for Amaravati.

In a teleconference held on Sunday, CRDA officials informed the CM that an ‘innovation corridor’ would also be developed in the capital city with support from Singapore.

“I salute my farmers for inspiring me to complete the construction of Amaravati in the near future and dedicate the benefits derived from their sacrifices. ” The CM wanted the CRDA to explain to the delegates the ‘world history created by farmers by sacrificing more than 34,000 acres of land worth Rs 40,000 crore’. “The generosity of our farmers was  discussed even at the World Economic Forum (WEF) meetings in Davos,” he said.

When Naidu told the officials that Amaravati should be developed as a pollution-free city to make it a happy capital, Principal Secretary (CRDA) Ajay Jain informed him that a draft policy on electric vehicles would be announced soon. “We are taking the help of the Industries Department for this,” he told the CM.
