Officials seize 120 quintals of PDS rice in Jaggayapet mandal
Acting on a tip-off that a few traders were illegally transporting the PDS rice, the police intercepted a truck on Hyderabad highway at Tipuraram and found around 200 rice bags.
VIJAYAWADA: In a joint raid conducted by Jaggayapet police and Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) officials at Tipuraram village in Jaggayapet mandal on Saturday morning, officials seized 120 quintals of PDS rice which was being transported to Telangana State.
Acting on a tip-off that a few traders were illegally transporting the PDS rice, the police intercepted a truck on Hyderabad highway at Tipuraram and found around 200 rice bags.
