VIJAYAWADA: A total of 2,688 candidates appeared for AP Teacher Eligibility Test, held in 16 exam centres across the city, on Wednesday. District collector B Lakshmikantham visited a few examination centres in the city to oversee the arrangements for the test.
He said, the TET, a pre-qualification for recruitment of teachers in government-run schools, was conducted smoothly across the city.As many as 2,851 candidates wrote Paper-I, held in the morning, while 2,961 candidates appeared for Paper-II, held in the afternoon. Of the total 3,124 registered candidates, 436 were absent.
