VIJAYAWADA: A low pressure area has formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and  neighbourhood and associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6  km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height.

Under its influence, heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizainagaram, Srikakulam, East and West  Godavari districts of North Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 24 hours. On Saturday, southwest monsoon has been active over Coastal Andhra Pradesh  and normal over Rayalaseema.

Rain occurred at many places over Coastal  Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over Rayalaseema region.
For the next 24 hours, strong surface winds from westerly direction with 50-55 kmph will sweep across  West Central  Bay of Bengal.

As the winds are likely to be along and off South Coastal Andhra  Pradesh and the state of sea would be rough, fishermen were warned not to  venture into sea until further instructions.
