VIJAYAWADA: A 23-year-old hanged himself at a lodge and left behind a suicide note under Governorpet police station in Vijayawada on Wednesday, said police.
Vamsi Krishna was a resident of Tenali and had reportedly come to Vijayawada on July 8 under the guise of attending an interview. The staff of Akhila Residency, the lodge he had booked a room in, informed the police because he was not responding to their knocks and the police found his body inside the room.
According to Governorpet police, the deceased had done engineering from Guntur and was allegedly in a relationship with a girl from Tenali.
“In the letter, he asked for his mother’s forgiveness and asked the youth not to spoil their lives in the name of love,” the police said. A case was registered.
“Failure in love is suspected to be the reason behind his suicide. We are going through his call records to find out whom he spoke to last,” the police added.
