VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that his government is committed to the welfare of all sections of people and will extend all necessary support for Anganwadi workers.

Attending the felicitation programme organised by Anganwadi workers as a gratitude for enhancing their wages, the CM elicited their feedback on various schemes being implemented by the State government.
During the programme, he asked whether all the workers have received mobile phones or not and wanted those who received mobile phones to raise their hands.

But, to his surprise, only a few have raised their hands. Naidu immediately enquired with the officials of Women and Child Development Department and came to know that the process of distributing mobile phones is yet to be completed in 11 out of the 13 districts.

After consulting with the officials, he announced that Anganwadi workers across the State will receive mobile phones by August 15.
