VIJAYAWADA: Fire broke out at the State BJP office in Suryaraopet, here on Friday due to short circuit. According to the fire department officials, the fire broke out due to the minor short circuit in the air conditioner located in a room on the first floor of the building, causing panic among the residents living nearby.
After receiving a call from fire department about the accident around 10.20 pm, officials sent one fire engine to the spot. Fire personnel brought the situation under control in 30 minutes. “It’s a minor short circuit. Furniture was damaged and no casualties are reported,” said district fire officer.
