VIJAYAWADA: TDP workers created a ruckus at a toll plaza in Keesara of Krishna district around 8 am after the bus they were travelling in was stopped for payment of toll. The ruling party men picked up an  argument with the toll plaza’s staff for “daring” to insist that they pay up and damaged the window panes of their cabin, creating tension in the area.

Yellow party workers from two villages near Nandigama mandal were on their way to the Polavaram Project site after Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu urged party leaders to visit the place and explain to its people the efforts taken by the party to complete the irrigation project.

“When we asked them politely to pay the toll fee, they argued and attacked us,” said a staffer. Upon being alerted, Kanchikacherla Police reached the spot, pacified the party workers and let them go. No complaint has been registered.
