Vijayawada: Star hotels asked to start works in three months

The CRDA has issued Letters of Intent (LOIs) to management of eight star hotels who would set up their establishments in Amaravati.

VIJAYAWADA:   The CRDA has issued Letters of Intent (LOIs) to management of eight star hotels who would set up their establishments in Amaravati. CRDA Commissioner Cherukuri Sreedhar asked the representatives of the hotels to start construction works in the next three months.According to a press release issued on Friday, LOIs were given to four five-star hotel groups Novotel, Doubletree by Hilton, Crowne Plaza and Hilton. The four groups would build the hotels in Lingayapalem, Mandadam, Sakhamuru and Navuluru respectively. 

The CRDA has already allotted four acres to each group. Similarly, in four-star category, Letters of Intent were issued to GRT Hotel, Holiday Inn, Daspalla Hotels and Green Park, which would construct facilities in Mandadam, Kondamarajupalem, Sakhamuru and Navuluru villages in the capital region respectively. Four-star hotels were given two acres each.“Each hotel group has been given land at `1.5 crore per acre. Only after the managements pay the money, possession of land would be given. As per the norms, the hotels must be ready in three years,” the CRDA release said.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson and Managing Director of Amaravati Development Corporation Ltd, D Lakshmi Parthasarathi, inspected the ongoing road works in Amaravati. She expressed satisfaction over the progress of works and asked the contractors to ensure that they are completed within stipulated time.
She also directed the officials to complete the works of Seed Access road so that it could be opened at the earliest for heavy vehicles.
