10 injured in TDP, YSRC workers clash

The scuffle allegedly broke out after an altercation over village politics got heated.

GUNTUR: Ten persons were injured in a clash between Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and YSR Congress (YSRC) groups in the faction-ridden village of Tangeda under Dachepalli of Palnadu region in Guntur district on Sunday.

Dachepalli SI A Venkateswarlu said TDP activists Chinakothapalli Deena Raju and Daida Kiran Babu were discussing village politics in the fields when two YSRC activists Kotapalli Bhushan and Daida Nagaraju of YSRC reached the spot. Some more people belonging to both the parties came there and a heated argument ensued among them.

Later, they clashed resulting in injuries to members of both the groups. TDP cadre Deena Raju, Kiran, Deenamma, Dayanandam, Mariyadas and YSRC activist Bhushan, Nagaraju, Yakobhu, Abraham and Raju were injured in the clash.  The injured were shifted to the Gurajala Area Hospital.
