CPM leaders at Andhra Pradesh CRDA door to discuss Inner Ring Road

The CPM leaders, led by the party’s capital region committee convenor Ch Babu Rao, also sought an extension to the deadline to submit suggestions for and objections to the draft IRR design.

VIJAYAWADA:  Requesting the AP Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) to convene a meeting with farmers, social activists and other stakeholders, before finalising the design of the proposed Inner Ring Road (IRR) in Amaravati, CPM leaders met CRDA’s special commissioner V Rama Manohar Rao on Saturday. The CPM leaders, led by the party’s capital region committee convenor Ch Babu Rao, also sought an extension to the deadline to submit suggestions for and objections to the draft IRR design. They also sought information regarding the restrictions on layout approvals concerning the proposed IRR.

Speaking on the occasion, Manohar Rao said that he would bring the requests of the CPM leaders to the State government’s notice. He also said that the IRR was proposed keeping in mind the infrastructural requirements of the capital region in the next 50 years. He clarified that farmers of the capital villages and landowners can submit their suggestions and objections regarding the draft IRR plan even on Monday. “We have extended the deadline by a day,” he said.
