Shilparamam coming up in Amaravati

VIJAYAWADA: Expenditure on maintenance of Shilparamams at Puttaparthi and Pulivendula is found to be more than their annual income.

While the annual income (2017-18) of Shilparamam at Pulivendula stood at Rs 23.84 lakh, the expenditure towards the salaries and allowances stood at Rs 24.29 lakh during the same period. The case of Puttaparthi Shilparamam is worse as its expenditure in the present fiscal stood at a whopping 10.26 lakh while the annual income stood at just Rs 81,000.

Shilparamams at Tirupati, Kadapa, Visakhapatnam and Anantapur are generating more revenue than the expenditure.

Tirupati stood top in the expenditure by generating Rs 164.32 lakh against the expenditure of Rs 46.38 lakh.
