Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan to interact with public on train

VIJAYAWADA: In a bid to revive the patriotic spirit of people and know various problems being faced by them, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is all set to take up a novel outreach programme -- public interaction during train journey -- on Friday.

Kalyan will board Janmabhoomi Express at 1:20 pm at Vijayawada station and travel till Tuni, where the train will reach at around 5:10 p.m. At every halt -- Nuzvid, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajamahendravaram, Samalkot and Annavaram -- between the two stations, party workers will come in large numbers to greet the actor-turned-politician.

In a message to party workers, Kalyan asked them to enter the railway station only after purchasing platform ticket. He also urged them to ensure that regular passengers are not subjected to any inconvenience. He emphasised the need of discipline and wanted his party activities to become a model for others.

During his train journey, Kalyan will interact with passengers in every compartment and various sections of people at different railway stations to know their problems and seek their opinions on different issues. At the same time, he is likely to share his party’s stand on certain issues.

The Jana Sena Party’s unique public outreach programme is a follow-up to its successful Kavathu (March) on Dowleswaram Barrage in Rajamahendravaram on October 16. Those in know of happenings in the party said the Jana Sena is concentrating in twin Godavari districts, where it expects to get maximum support.

Pawan Kalyan, who is active on Twitter, where he has 3.35 million followers, joined Facebook on October 30. In just two days, the page registered 6.1 lakh likes. The development made the head honchos of the two social media networks - Twitter and Facebook - to take note of it, as it is being seen as are a record of sorts. It is learned that they are keen to meet Kalyan soon.
In fact, the Jana Sena wants to promote party and Kalyan’s activities and ideology on the social media network, which is being seen as the perfect platform to gain optimum publicity. The party has also stepped up its online activities.
