VIJAYAWADA: Two Town police inspector Murali Krishna and his team busted a prostitution racket at YSR Colony of Jakkampudi village in Vijayawada and arrested five persons on Tuesday morning.
According to the inspector, the organiser was identified as Lakshmi (36). She was running the prostitution racket for the past three months in the residential colony and the residents of the colony informed the police when they suspected her.
The woman had rented a flat in Block C of YSR Colony and claimed to be working at a factory in Payakapuram. She used to introduce her alleged partner Srinu as her husband.Lakshmi had brought two women for prostitution from Kodad and Visakhapatnam recently. The police received a complaint from the residents on Monday and caught the accused red-handed.
