Education key to social development: Collector  

Extolling the government’s efforts for holistic development of people, he listed out the schemes being implemented by the ruling TDP.

VIJAYAWADA: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmikantham spoke about the importance of education for effecting wholesome social development in the Sub-Collector’s office on Sunday on World Education and Minority Day. 

The Collector said education must be inclusive so that no section of the society is left out. He added that since the constitution protects the unity and diversity of India, all groups must reap the benefits of the schemes for the education and welfare of the people.    

Extolling the government’s efforts for holistic development of people, he listed out the schemes being implemented by the ruling TDP. He highlighted the `4.94 crore allotted under the scholarship provided by the government, `10 lakh allotted under the scheme for studying abroad and `50, 000 doled out under Dulhan scheme.
