No relief for temple AEO in High Court

VIJAYAWADA: The High Court has dismissed the stay order petition filed by Kanaka Durga temple assistant executive officer S Achyuta Ramaiah over his suspension imposed by executive officer V Koteswaramma in connection with memento scam unearthed a week ago.

In his petition, the AEO mentioned that “Koteswaramma was not at all the authorised person as the executive officer of the Durga temple and has no right to suspend an officer of his rank.” He argued that his suspension should be revoked and an inquiry be conducted into the scam.

However, the court dismissed the petition after going through the arguments of both the parties.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, the Kapu Nadu representatives submitted a memorandum to temple trust board committee chairperson Y Gouranga Babu urging him to intervene in the issue and take necessary steps to revoke the AEO’s suspension.

Achyuta Ramamaih has been contemplating to meet Endowments Commissioner M Padma on Monday to revoke his suspension.
