VIJAYAWADA: A 27-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Chand Biryani Hotel in Panja Centre under Two-Town police station limits in Vijayawada on Sunday.
According to Two-Town police inspector Murali Krishna, the deceased was identified as Mohammad Parvez, a daily wage worker at a city-based restaurant.
The incident came to light when the restaurant owner, Chand Basha, opened the shop on Sunday morning.
According to the police, Parvez used to sleep in the shop at night and had no issues with any other worker of the shop. Statements of the hotel owner and his fellow workers were recorded and his body was sent for postmortem.
“We cannot comment on the incident at this point of time. Reasons and circumstances are yet to be ascertained,” inspector Murali said. The police said they were collecting phone call details of the deceased.
