VIJAYAWADA: SRS Designer studio organised a handloom fashion show at A Plus Convention Centre on Saturday, where the National Handloom Expo was being held.
“We came up with this idea to conduct the fashion show showcasing different types of sarees made of different materials in order to promote the handloom sector. The fashion show will also encourage young talent,” said Salim, choreographer of the event.
Female participants draped in sarees and men in traditional attire from TS, TN, West Bengal, Rajasthan, MP, Bihar, Karnataka, Guntur, Prakasam and Kadapa walked the ramp. The classical and western dance performances enthralled the visitors.
