VIJAYAWADA:  After a positive response to the first round of sale of HappyNest flats, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has decided to make the remaining 900 units available for booking on December 10. The booking price will be the same as it was in the first round: `2.5 lakh to `7 lakh, depending on the size of the flat.

“The APCRDA, the promoter of the gated community project, will launch the second round of bookings, of blocks D to L, on December 10. On the offer will be 900 2BHK and 3BHK smart homes, which will be sold on first come-first served basis,” read a press note issued by the authority on Wednesday. The bookings are expected to begin at 9 am. It may be noted that the first round of sale of 300 units, on November 9, received an overwhelming response with all flats getting booked in six hours.

The server had crashed during the first round of bookings and as precaution, the authority has strengthened it this time. “We expected 15,000 to 20,000 people to access the website, but over 1.2 lakh accessed it. We have now taken steps to strengthen the server to handle higher traffic,” the officials added.

For the uninitiated, HappyNest is a housing project proposed in Nelapadu village, aimed at promoting residential activity in the new capital Amaravati. With over 80 per cent area left open, the construction of 12 G+18 towers will be done in 20 per cent of the 14.4 acres of land. The size of the flats range between 1,225 sqft to 2,750 sqft. Even though the authority has fixed the basic price at `3,492 per sqft, the project will have all modern facilities such as clubhouse, gym, preview theatre, walking track and reflexology path and amenities for sports.

Meanwhile, the commissioner of APCRDA, Cherukuri Sreedhar, said that the authority will also go for a second housing project for the public.“Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed us to go ahead with a second project. We are examining the possibility of building another 1,200 flats,” he said.
The officials said the people interested can visit the website www.happynest.live or may contact the customer care number, 888 200 1234, for further details.
