VIJAYAWADA: Exuding confidence over winning both Kurnool and Nandyal Lok Sabha constituencies and majority of the Assembly constituencies in Kurnool district, TDP supremo and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that four surveys taken up by the party predicted victory to the yellow party.
“The welfare and development programmes implemented by our government turned as ‘Sri Rama Raksha’ for the party. All the factors favoured us,’’ Naidu claimed.

Reviewing with the leaders under Kurnool and Nandyal Parliamentary constituencies in a resort in Mangalagiri on Monday, Naidu said there was a wave in favour of the party in the district following the induction of Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy into the party. Apart from winning several Assembly constituencies in the district, the TDP is going to bag Kodumur constituency for the first time, he said.

Naidu also reviewed the polling trend and issued directions to be followed by the party leaders at the counting centres on May 23. “We should be on alert on the counting day on May 23. The evil forces like BJP and YSRC will even try to manipulate the people’s verdict,’’ he alleged.

Asserting that he will concentrate more on strengthening the party in the coming five years, he said he gave priority to the development of the State in the past five years as it being a new State.
