A gathering of eminent thought leaders, start-up strategists and fund managers kicked-off the fourth edition of The Indus Entrepreneurs Conference (TiEcon) Delhi 2012 in the national capital. The two-day annual conference on entrepreneurship was flagged-off by Sanjeev Bikhchandani, President, TiE Delhi-NCR, and was attended by the likes of Lord Bilimoria, chairman, Cobra Beer Partnership; Sir James Bevan, CMG, British High Commission; director, Shekhar Kapur, Ajay Bakshi, CEO, Max Healthcare and celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor among others.
“TiEcon Delhi 2012 is a celebration of dreamers who, unmindful of a hazy future, are striving to push the bar of economy through innovation, perseverance and determination. The event will showcase innovators, risk takers and doers who have created opportunities out of nowhere. It offers an opportunity to hear inspirational success stories of entrepreneurs and TiE Charter Members,” said Bikhchandani.
The fourth TiE-Aspire Young Achiever Awards were also given away during the event. Mountaineer with disabilities Arunima Sinha (26), Pianist Utsav Lal (20) and whiz-kid actor and film director Kishan Shrikanth, 16, were felicitated by Flipkart and were presented with e-gift vouchers worth Rs 1 lakh each.
