Aware that consumers were very specific about the devices they wanted to buy and to ensure that the consumers got the best deal for the prices they paid, a Bengaluru based startup has devised an app named Smartly.Me and allows people to make a smart choice while buying smartphones.
The app allows users to select the price range of the android phone they want to buy, and asks them to select three aspects from a variety of options. Based on the selections made, the app runs an algorithm and provides a list of phones that match the required specifications of the consumer. Apart from it, the app also provides personalised recommendations on smartphones, apps, games and others, based on the interests of the user.
According to Santosh Prabhu, co-founder of Mobiorbit labs based in Bengaluru, the chief idea behind the app was to help users make smart choices.
“The unique proposition of the app is the personalised recommendations for smartphone and content discovery, specifically intended for Indian users,” he said. It also helps in discovering tips and tricks for the benefit of users.
Feedback is also an essential feature of the app. With Smartly.Me, a person can discover other persons who are using the phone you are planning to buy. They can connect with such persons and receive feedback on the features of the phones and also learn about the consumer rating of a device. It also provides alerts on the upcoming launches based on preferences of the users, new deals and offers for phones and others.
