President Pranab Mukherjee Gives Away Infosys Prize '15 to Outstanding Researchers

The Infosys Science Foundation (ISF) honored winners of the Infosys Prize 2015 for their outstanding achievements and contributions to research in the fields of science and humanities. The Chief Guest, President Pranab Mukherjee, felicitated the winners at a grand ceremony in Delhi. The Infosys prize is given in six categories.

Christian Institute of Management Convocation

Christian Institute of Management (CIM) launched online courses during its Convocation held in Chennai. Established in 1998 CIM is a Chennai-based national level management institute which offers management consultancy, publications, organisation development services. Around 192 leaders and executives from 27 states and abroad were conferred degrees.   

Campus Connect Held at MEC

Mahindra Ecole Centrale (MEC) College of Engineering, an Indo-French Technology School, based at Hyderabad, organised a campus connect session with the Engineering Aspirants and their parents. The Deans and senior faculty of MEC were available address the queries of the visitors. MEC's Campus Connect session is undertaken by MEC periodically to showcase its infrastructure, faculty and industry/academia partnerships.

BASE (www.base-edu.in), the Bangalore based, premier training organization providing quality training for competitive exams has announced a strategic academic alliance with Resonance (www.resonance.ac.in), the leading training institute from Kota with nationwide presence and an excellent track record in competitive exams. Resonance has trained over 3, 50,000 students via its classroom, distance learning and e-learning programmes.

KCG Students Bag Award

The Mechanical Engineering students of KCG College of Technology, Chennai, won the second prize for their innovative product titled “Chulha Stirling Engine” in the Engineer Infinite competition.

MCC Awards Student on 37th Graduation Day

Dr V Mohan, Chairman and Chief Diabetologist, was the chief guest Dr Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre at the 37th Graduation Day of the Aided stream of Madras Christian College. During the event the principal mentioned that MCC had been selected as the 'Best College in Arts and Science' by the VIT. University. R Monica, NCC Air wing Cadet received the award for 'All India Best Cadet Pilot for Girls', and was selected to fly past the Prime Minister’s rally in the Republic Day Parade Camp at New Delhi.

FLAG '16 Held at Madurai College

FLAG 2016 offered by EmployabilityBridge conducted its 48th edition FLAG event at Vickram College of Engineering Madurai with overwhelming response from students and companies. Top companies from across India came down to the temple town to fill more than 350 openings with the job seeking students from across Tamil Nadu. Companies screened over 500 students from different colleges and offered job letters to the selected candidates. Few also shortlisted for final round. Hexaware, A&T Networks, Velmurugan Industries, Donrocks, Solratis and Zealous were the companies participated and they were enthused by the students' response.
