KHAMMAM: WITH elections less than a week away, the animosity between Congress and Telangana Rashtra Samithi cadres in Mudigonda seems to have reached a crescendo. Congress leader and the Grand Alliance candidate from Madhira Assembly constituency Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, on Sunday, alleged that TRS workers were trying to bribe voters and staged a dharna at Mudigonda police station, demanding that action be taken against TRS MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy who was supposedly the mastermind behind the operation.

The fight started when Congress party activists confronted a group of five persons, purportedly TRS members, who were collecting Aadhar and bank account details from voters in the town. After a scuffle, the activists managed to catch hold of two of the said persons and handed them over to police. Later, Vikramarka filed a case against the five persons, claiming they were collecting Aadhar and bank details on the instructions of Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy.
