Angry BJP workers want state chief K Laxman to resign after loss in Telangana

As right as it may seem to the karyakartas, fuming with anger, a lot of them have flooded social media by demanding that the BJP State president resign to his post for leading the party to a loss.

HYDERABAD: Though the BJP is in power at the Centre, it has only one seat in the State Assembly. And, this is a deterrent for thousands of BJP workers who are demanding that the State BJP unit resign from their cushy positions. As right as it may seem to the karyakartas, fuming with anger, a lot of them have flooded social media by demanding that the BJP State president K Laxman resign to his post for leading the party to a loss.

On Saturday when the BJP State president addressed a press conference, after the pronouncement of the recently concluded assembly elections, party workers have come in unison asking him to resign. “Please resign and encourage new leadership, who can deliver for Hindutva and Bharath Mata,” read a comment from Naveenreddy Rajanagari on Facebook.

Another said, “Please start work for Lok Sabha elections from today. Change the State and city presidents,” read a comment from Santosh Ladda. But who should lead the party? The karyakartas seem to have an answer. The lone MLA from BJP T Raja Singh, in the Legislative Assembly, seems to be the pick. K Rohit said: “Sir, meeku oka namaskaram, resign cheyandi....powerful charisma unna Raja Singh ki ivandi president post.” (A thank you to you, kindly resign and appoint Raja Singh as president, who has more charisma).

Among the several names that the party workers nominated for the post of presidentship was T Achary and Bandi Sanjay.
