KCR running family raj in Telangana: Former Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan
HYDERABAD: Former Maharashtra CM and senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan lambasted KCR, saying that the latter was running a ‘family raj’ in Telangana and looting the State.“Congress carved Telangana state with a noble intention and hoping for the all round development of the State. But KCR is running his family raj in Telangana and looting the State.
Making a Dalit CM, three-acre land for Dalits, double bedroom houses, jobs for youth and others..KCR has failed on all these promises. He should answer why he is going for early polls, without implementing any promise,” said Prithviraj Chavan in Hyderabad on Sunday.
“Instead of fulfilling promises, KCR has done corruption by redesigning projects. He has looted sand in the State and even harassed Dalits in Sircilla for questioning sand mafia. Telangana got into a debt of `2.20 lakh core due to KCR’s rule. People are severely disappointed over TRS rule. Congress will come back to power in Telangana,” said Chavan.
Prithivraj Chavan also stressed that there was nothing great in KCR signing an agreement with Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, for facilitating construction of Pranahita Chevella Project, as he had already discussed with the then AP CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and prepared the ground and okayed for the agreement during his tenure as Maharashtra CM.
