HYDERABAD: IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao assured that the TRS would support poor Brahmins in the State. He claimed that Telangana was the only State to pay salaries to temple archakas from the Treasury. He claimed that poverty has nothing to do with caste. “No other leader in the State, except Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, could understand the situation of Brahmins,” he said.
He recalled that KCR did Ayutha Chandi Yagam for the sake of universal peace and spent crores of rupees for the development of the temples. Participating in the “Brahmana Aatmeeya Sammelanam” here on Thursday, Rama Rao said that: “ No other State has spent such huge funds for the development of temples.” He sought the support of Brahmins in the election.
