HYDERABAD: Setting the tone for other Opposition parties, TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao handed over B-Forms to all the 107 candidates en masse at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday. Contrary to the rumours that Rao may drop some candidates and they would not be issued B-Forms, Rao decided to continue all the candidates and handed over them a day ahead of issue of election notification.

Political parties are used to give Form-B to their candidates till the last date of withdrawal of nominations. However, deviating from the normal practices, B-Forms were given to TRS candidates one day in advance. Immediately after dissolving the Assembly, Rao announced the first list of 105 candidates out of the 119 Assembly segments on September 6 and cleared two more names later.

At a meeting with party candidates, Rao gave instructions to party candidates and also explained on how to continue the next round of campaign.  For better coordination in the elections, Rao constituted a Coordination Committee at the State level. Rao reportedly told that all seats allotted to other parties by Congress would be a cakewalk for TRS. Rao wanted them to ensure TDP’s defeat, which is considered an Andhra party.

KCR to resume campaign
After addressing four election meetings, Rao took a break. He is expected to resume his election campaign from November 14 starting with filing of nomination papers in Gajwel Assembly segment. Earlier in the day, Rao held a meeting of Gajwel TRS workers at his farm house in Erravalli. According to party sources, Rao may address public meetings in 70 to 80 Assembly segments leaving Siricilla, Siddipet and others. Meanwhile, like in GHMC elections, KT Rama Rao would give much more focus on segments in GHMC besides touring the state. Rao exuded confidence that TRS would win majority seats and sprang a surprise this time. Meanwhile, Congress’ K Sattaiah Goud joined TRS.
