HYDERABAD: Everything is not as favourable for the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, as they would like to believe, K Laxman, Bharatiya Janata State president said on Tuesday. Laxman said TRS had failed to implement the Supreme Court’s orders on providing reservation to various sectors including persons with disabilities (PwDs). “An exclusive corporation is required to be set up for PWDs. It is also nowhere to be seen,” he said. “It may be recalled that the corporation is currently integrated into the Women and Child Welfare Department,” he added.
“One should not forget that PwDs held a ‘Chalo Assembly’ rally to increase their pension in 2017,” said Laxman. He added that on three occasions, questions were raised in the State Assembly. “But TRS dodged the question on all three instances,” he said.
