HYDERABAD: The District Election Officer (DEO) of Hyderabad district has decided to go for live webcasting of polling stations in Hyderabad district covering 15 Assembly constituencies which are sensitive in nature. This is being done with a view to prevent persons from creating nuisance at polling booths and provide transparency. This is being done as per directions of the Election Commission of India who would directly monitor the polling booths through webcasting. Hyderabad District has 3,866 polling stations including 40 auxiliary booths.
In this connection DEO of Hyderabad district, M Dana Kishore has invited interested candidates to participate in live webcasting for Legislative Assembly Elections-2018 on December 7 and to be a part of #Telangana elections. The entire recording was done through webcasting will be closely monitored in the control room of each district and at control rooms of the CEO’s office in Hyderabad.

Honorarium will be paid to them and certificate will be given for participation. Those selected will be given training on live webcasting.
GHMC officials told Express that besides supervision by armed police personnel, webcasting, video camera and digital camera recording will play a significant role in ensuring free and fair elections in the State.
