HYDERABAD: Even as the opposition parties are still struggling to finalise their candidates, TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to launch a hectic, high-voltage election campaign from November 19.  Rao has chosen Nov 19 to resume his electioneering as it is ‘Karthika Somavaram,’  considered to be an auspicious day.

Starting with KCR’s election meetings, several top leaders in the country including  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi are all set to visit the State in next 15 days.

As per the latest schedule, Chandrasekhar Rao will address voters in 30 Assembly segments in six days from Nov 19 to 25, with a break on Nov 24.

It may be recalled that Rao took a short break in the electioneering, as the Grand Alliance did not announce its candidates. However, with the polling date nearing and Grand Alliance announcing its candidates for 90 Assembly segments so far, Rao has decided to resume his election meetings from Nov 19.

According to sources,  Rao may cover around 80 Assembly segments in the next 17 days.  However, he may not address separate meetings in each Assembly segment.

The TRS is ahead of other parties in the election campaign. Rao has already addressed four public meetings so far and the party candidates have already toured their respective segments twice.
Rao is expected to keep up the tempo in his campaign which is bound to raise political heat in the state.
