KARIMNAGAR: There is no value of democracy in Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brother Prahlad Modi claimed during his campaign on behalf of the BJP candidate Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

Addressing the public in the 49 and 50 divisions on Saturday, where he distributed pamphlets explaining welfare schemes implemented by the union government in the last few years, he said that PM's 'Made in India' and 'Make in India' slogans were giving fruitful results across the country.

In his speech, he remembered the recent death of Warangal's Sai Baba temple priest, Dandapantula Satyanarayana Sharma, after he was allegedly beaten up by an imam. He said that the Telangana government's response to the mishap was inappropriate.

At the rally, he also sought strict action against cow killings and priest murders.

Referring to TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao's regime, he said that in Telangana voices are being suppressed and a unilateral attitude continues. Some sections of the society are taking advantage of this and indulging in atrocities and attacks. Thus, there is no value of democracy in the State, he alleged.

He also made a plea to the people to vote for BJP so that more welfare schemes reach them.

Earlier, he visited the Vemulawada temple in Rajanna-Sircilla district and performed special poojas at Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple and Mahashakti temple in Karimnagar.
