Vishnuvardhan tries to tap into NTR’s legacy

Vishnuvardhan Reddy’s father, late P Janardhan Reddy, had been an ardent opponent of current TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

HYDERABAD: In an interesting development, Congress candidate from Jubilee Hills, P Vishnuvardhan Reddy visited NTR Bhavan on Friday and garlanded TDP founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s statue. Reddy’s efforts seem to be an attempt at uniting the support base of Congress and TDP, the latter of which has a large voter base among people from Andhra Pradesh.

Vishnuvardhan Reddy’s father, late P Janardhan Reddy, had been an ardent opponent of current TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Reddy later attacked TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for saying that Chandrababu Naidu was an ‘enemy of Telangana’. “KCR should be in his limits. Telangana and AP are not India and Pakistan,” said Vishnu.
