PM Modi to address Telangana poll meetings on December 3, 5

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will tour Telangana on  November 28, 29 and December 3.

HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be touring the State on December 3 and 5 in an attempt to kindle the electoral fortunes of the BJP in the ensuing assembly elections. Along with him, high voltage public meetings by BJP national president Amit Shah are set to add fire to the election season as he will be on a three-day tour of the State.

BJP State president K Laxman while addressing a press conference here on Saturday said: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address four public meetings on December 3 and 5. In the same way, Amit Shah will also campaign for three days in the State.”  Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, and Nizamabad could be the likely picks for his poll campaign.

The BJP State cadre has already created a gateway for Modi’s visit by having a fleet of Union ministers to campaign in the State. The party has also readied a 100-point charge sheet against the TRS. On Sunday, defence minister Nirmala Sitaraman will be in the city to brief the BJP’s electoral strategy in the ensuing elections.

Sonia to tour TS on Nov 23

Congress party’s matriarch Sonia Gandhi will tour Telangana on November 23.  While the date for the much-awaited campaign of the Congress leader in the State has been confirmed, venues will be decided on Sunday. While  Sonia Gandhi’s campaign will be limited to one day, she is expected to  address two public meetings. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi will tour Telangana on  November 28, 29 and December 3.
