This year’s edition of is back. The bigger and better format, sees Kingfisher scion Sidhartha Mallya and supermodel and ex-Kingfisher calendar girl Lisa Haydon on the judging panel. Twelve leggy lasses face off in a series of exciting avatars and challenges in a bid for a spot on the Kingfisher Calendar. We caught up with host-cum-judge Lisa Haydon to know more.
What has your experience been like as a host cum judge on the show?
I totally loved it. After all my modelling, a show with this content was straight up my alley. I loved every moment of mentoring and watching the girls grow and hosting it with my partner-in-crime, Sid.
What can a platform like this do for aspiring models?
It could potentially catapult girls into the media and limelight for all manner of directors, producers and ad agencies. For potential models or actors, a platform like this gives them great visibility. It allows girls to showcase just how versatile they are.
What can viewers expect this season?
There are a great many innovative, exacting tasks this season as well as fabulous guest judges. Sid and I are also new to the show so the whole feeling and vibe will be different.
Challenges you faced choosing the winner?
It was tough doing elimination rounds. Girls were not allowed to have a bad day. Some girls had pretty faces and we didn’t want to see them perform badly but if they did then they were out. For us, only in the very end was the winner clear.
