'Perfection is boring'

Kannada actor Yash, who is waiting for the release of his new film, 'Drama' says that the film has a philosophical touch to it.

Actor Yash dares to be different and the trailers of his latest film 'Drama', say it all. "Drama is a unique film and a fresh attempt in Kannada cinema. The whole approach of the character towards life is wonderful and he doesn't take anything seriously. It is a character that I could relate to as every scene was natural as I imbibed a lot from my director and followed his brief on the role," he adds.

'Drama' boasts some good content says Yash.

"Generally, life is like a drama. Normally, we all end up playing different roles for 15 to 16 hours everyday and there will  be a few hours where we will be to ourselves. Movies will see characters presented in someone else's life. Likewise, there are various roles played by us. My next film 'Drama' has a philosophical touch to it," he explains.

Working for the first time with Yograj Bhat, the actor shares his experience with us. "He is a fantastic director, and a sound technician. More than anything, he is young at heart. That is how his scripts connect with the youth easily and he was very approachable," he says.

Having chosen a multi-starrer film, he explains. "The script has all kinds of characters to narrate in the story. It is not just about the hero and heroine. I never insist that I should be all over the movie. If there is a story to tell for which they need more than one guy, I don't have a problem. My character should be a strong support to the film," explains the actor, adding that it was exciting to work with Satish, Radhika and Sindhu Loknath.

What is the biggest lesson he has learnt so far working in cinema?

"Every character, I do, I feel like some part of the film can be adapted in my life. But at the end of the day, I don't take cinema home, which I am certain about. There is always something wonderful to implement in every film, we do. The best part of my character in 'Drama' is that I am extremely relaxed ," he laughs

Has Yash developed a knack of perfection with the number of films, he has been working in lately?

"Googly by Pawan Wadeyar will be my eleventh film. But for me perfection is boring but the journey towards perfection is exciting where you feel the need to push yourself even further. There is a need for improvement every day. I aim to get perfect and have always tried really hard to work towards it.

After all the hardships and strife, how do you think the audiences will react to the film? "That's what makes us work so hard and we need support from common people. The special applause by these people inspire and will allow us to take our talent to the next level. I am happy that people really like watching every film of mine," he cherishes.
