It has been worth the wait for me: Mohammed Zeeshan

Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub’s performance in Raanjhanaa has garnered him widespread praise. However, the role of a wisecracking but supportive friend Murari to Dhanush’s loverboy character Kundan in the Banaras-set love-story, came his way after an eight-month break.

The actor made his debut with a negative role in 2011 No One Killed Jessica followed by Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Jannat 2, but it was Raanjhanaa by Anand L Rai film that brought him popular acclaim.

Ayyub is not bitter about his struggle days as he believes it is part of every actor’s life.  “There are bad patches when you don’t have any work. I was sitting at home for eight months before I got the role in Raanjhanaa, but I think that’s part of our profession and we have opted for it. There is struggle in this profession,” said Zeeshan.
