Ten iconic Odia personalities were felicitated for showcasing Odisha in an exemplary way in their respective domains. The Acrux Showcase Odisha Awards, into its second edition, once again brought to limelight the contribution Odias have made on national and international platforms.
Terming them as Global Icons and Leaders, the prestigious award ceremony, a brainchild of Prelude Novel Ventures Pvt. Ltd (PNVPL), shortlisted the winners from varied fields like film and entertainment, corporate, entrepreneurship, sports, tourism, art and culture, music, business leadership, science and technology and education.
The award ceremony, which was held at Hotel Swosti Premium here, was organised under the banner of ‘Showcase Odisha’, a quarterly magazine started by PNVPL to showcase the positives of the state of Odisha for the world at large. The magazine was also unveiled on the occasion by Minister, Energy and I&PR, Arun Kumar Sahu.
The ceremony started with a conclave on ‘Showcasing Odisha - The brand versus its reputation’ where seven eminent personalities including filmmaker Nilamadhab Panda, RDC, Central Division Arabinda Kumar Padhi, Group head, Reliance Jio Infocom Sandeep Das, CMD, IDCO Vishal Dev, MD, Swosti Group JK Mohanty, JMD, Eastern Media Monika Nayar Pattnaik and Founder Dalma Debashish Pattnaik participated to discuss the role of brand management in industrial and economic growth of the state.
This apart, as many as 150 artists from varied fields like fashion, music and dance including participants of reality show Voice of Odisha enthralled the audiences with their performances. Indian Idol Junior participant, Cuttack boy, Aryan Dash was also felicitated during the ceremony.
Ramesh Swain, MD, Acrux Realcon (title sponsor for the event) and his son Rahul Swain, director of the company congratulated all the winners and said the Acrux family felt privileged to have got an opportunity to felicitate the real heroes of Odisha. Sharing his idea behind the event, MD Prelude Satyabrat Ratho said, ‘’Showcase Odisha Awards has been instituted with a commitment to salute, felicitate and acknowledge the success stories of the heroes from Odisha who have excelled in their respective fields. As long as the Odias continue to repeat their success stories to script history, this forum will continue to salute them.’’
The award night will be telecast on OTV on August 25 at 12 noon.
